It's great to see the wild flowers blooming in this spectacular spring weather, but how many can you give a name to? Have you ever wanted to get better at identifying the wild flowers and other plants in our countryside? The Species Recovery Trust are running training courses in and around the AONB that will equip you with this skill. It will add enormously to your enjoyment of the countryside and also to your ability to help conserve and enhance it. The world needs more botanists!
The courses will take place at Garston Wood near Sixpenny Handley, at Stoke Farm in the Chalke Valley and at nearby locations such as Old Sarum, Figsbury Ring near Winterslow and the New Forest. The cost is £70 for one day and £120 for a two day course, with significant discounts for pensioners, students and supporters of the Trust. It's a fantastic way to spend a day, you will get a huge amount from it - we promise! For more information and booking go to the Species Recovery web site by clicking here
