Research involving hundreds of UK scientists, published in a major new independent report – the UK National Ecosystem Assessment (UK NEA), has revealed that nature is worth billions of pounds to the UK economy. The report estimates the value of the natural world by taking account of the economic, health and social benefits that derive from nature.
