Timmy the Tank, the latest outstanding book for tiddlers and toddlers, is the creation of Tara Wilkinson and Jonathan Bartholomew, two authors from Hanging Langford in the gorgeous Wylye Valley. Tara, who works for the Ministry of Defence at Marlborough Lines, describes Timmy as a young, kind tank who lives with his friends at an army base in Tidworth. This first 32 page installment of Timmy's adventures is filled with lovely illustrations by Anne Humphreys and tells the story of how Timmy's friends help him get ready to go on an adventure on Salisbury Plain - but Corporal Charlie can't start Timmy's engine!
