Local businesses are being offered an exciting opportunity to promote their services and products at the Wiltshire 2012 Festival of Celebration this summer.
The festival, expected to attract thousands of people, is being held on July 11 at Hudson’s Field in Salisbury to celebrate the Olympic Torch passing through the county.
8 May 2012 marks only two weeks until the Olympic Torch comes into Wiltshire for the first time. The Olympic Torch comes into the county on 22 May 2012 until 23 May 2012 and then comes back again on 11 July 2012 until 12 July 2012.
To start the Wiltshire 2012 Festival of Celebration on 11 July 2012, there will be a business breakfast for organisations throughout Wiltshire. The breakfast will provide an opportunity for delegates to meet, share ideas, develop relationships and hear from a celebrity guest speaker.
As thousands of people are expected to attend the festival, this provides a fantastic opportunity for local businesses to exhibit and promote their services and products and raise their profile on a large scale.
Sponsorship packages, which can be tailored to suit individual needs, are also available for businesses looking to have a higher profile at the event.
Council leader, Jane Scott said: “The Olympic Torch coming to Wiltshire will provide a huge boost to the local economy. We want local businesses of all sizes to be part of our festival and showcase their services to the many people expected to attend. It really is an excellent opportunity.”
If local businesses wish to be part of the festival or discuss potential sponsorship packages they should contact 2012celebrations@wiltshire.gov.uk.
